New Councillor elected to Addlestone!

Two new Reform UK councillors, Scott Michael Kelly and Sam Jonathan Newman, were recently elected to represent the Addlestone South ward on the Runnymede Borough Council following a by-election. Scott Kelly was the top vote-getter with 467 votes, and Sam Newman followed with 414 votes. The by-elections were held to fill two seats on the borough council and one seat on the Surrey County Council, both of which had become vacant.

In addition to his victory for the borough council, Scott Kelly also won the by-election for the Addlestone Division seat on the Surrey County Council with 931 votes. A lifelong resident of Addlestone, Kelly has stated that his commitment to improving the local area and his passion for the community are what drive his political work. He is a member of Reform UK’s Runnymede, Weybridge, Oxshott & Cobham branch. Sources
