£500,000 grant

In a major milestone for the town, The Community Life Trust has been awarded nearly £500,000 from the Your Fund Surrey initiative to restore the historic Kings Head building. The final round of funding, announced this week, paves the way for the site to become a dedicated community hub.

Once completed, the building will serve as a safe, welcoming base for a wide range of essential local services, including breastfeeding clinics, foodbanks, and various support groups. This project is one of 74 across Surrey sharing a £26.8 million investment designed to transform local spaces into resilient community assets.
